Tricky Amazement #1, a triumphant mind bashing villain week first issue special limited edition short team-up story!

The American Joe National Army base, just ten miles north of Paradopolis, is currently under assault. The head base commander had no idea what was happening. Only that his head hurt so much that blood trickled out of his eyes, nose, ears and mouth.
At first General McManus just figured it was a standard migraine brought on from the stress, his lack of sleep and his constant staring at the computer screen. When the pain got worse he thought about leaving work early. That’s when the blood started to trickle.
The pounding in his head was so strong that he almost passed out. He staggered through the door to his office to find his secretary passed out on the floor. She was barely alive as blood trickled out of her facial orifices as well.
The only reason he realized through clenched teeth that he hadn’t passed out was the heavy mental training he received back when he worked with S.PU.D.
He knew the others on the base weren’t so lucky.
His fears were confirmed when he glanced out the window. Those personnel who were still awake were struggling on the ground. This major headache was affecting them too. If he didn’t struggle to get to the communications building soon, someone was bound to die from the strain.

22,305 feet in space above the Earth an object glints off the reflected sunlight.
It is the self aware, self-depressed space ship headquarters of the JBH, known as Vessel.
“So this is yer knew HQ huh?” the Legionnaire and annoying archer called Trickshot asks as he opens the Monitor Room’s mini-fridge. “Feh. Not stocked very well.” He mumbles, looking for a beer.
Amazing Guy, Tricky’s friend and fellow hero replies while watching the monitors for trouble, “Yup. This is Vessel. She’s been a great help to our missions.”
“Not that anybody has thanked me lately. That’s ok though. I’m used to being forgotten.” Vessel says with a depressed tone.
“Nice attitude babe.” Tricky replies to the female voice then says to AG, “So are we gonna play cards or what?”
Scott isn’t listening to his friend. He’s too busy watching one of the screens, “Hey Carl.”
“Yeah buddy?”
“I know you’re just visiting and it’s your day off, but you want some action?”
“What kind?” Tricky asks while cracking his knuckles.
“Take a look at screen number two!”

The Communication Building on the American Joe National Army base, where General McManus has been brought down to his knees by a man about his same age, dressed in army green with red highlights and cape as well as colorful fake yellow metals.
“Why? Why Major Dane? Robert, this is wrong!” General McManus ground on the floor at the other man.
“Why? You ask me why? For thirty years I served the military! THIRTY YEARS! I HAVE GIVEN MOST OF MY LIFE TO THIS CAREER! Then I beat the crap out of one lazy lieutenant and suddenly I’m considered unstable! I’LL SHOW THEM UNSTABLE!”
General McManus doubled over in pain. Dane pulled in his powers, focusing on the General alone, “You will be my first fatality McManus! I’m getting revenge on EVERYONE! This is for the evil thing you did to me!!”
The ex-major looked at him with triumph, not noticing the monitor that showed Amazing Guy swooping down, using a Multiversal platform to keep Trickshot aloft. The archer has pulled back an arrow, ready for anything.
“My Multiversal powers are registering a mental disturbance in that building there.” AG points out.
“I bet somebody’s mentally disturbed.” Tricky adds.

“Ppplease! S..stop!” McManus trembles, barely conscious.
A Multiversal energy construct (the shape of a glass box) appeared around the ex-major’s head.
“Surrender villain! You can not stop us! Justice will prevail!” AG announced.
Trickshot groans, “Aw man! Cut the Captain White-Bread crap and just take him out!”
“The only one taking anyone out will be me!” glares the villain as he sent jolts of powerful force into the hero’s brains.
They stand as the pain builds within their heads.
“Sorry Army Guy, but I really don’t want to go out with losers.” Trickshot replies as he sends forth an arrow at blinding speed. It nicks the villain in the shoulder.
“AARRGH! You’ll pay for hurting.. MAJOR MIGRAINE!”
The headaches within the heroes’ frontal lobes increase in power. Despite this AG looks at Tricky, “The one two?”
“You got it partner!”
“Why aren’t you falling to your knees before me? That’s shear migraine power I’m hitting you with!” Major Migraine protests.
Amazing Guy replies while binding Major Migraine with energy tendrils, “When you have four screaming children, you become used to pounding migraines.”
Trickshot stands up and fires a tranquilizer arrow into Major Migraine’s left leg, “An’ when you’ve had as many hangovers as I have, a simple migraine is a walk in the park pal.”

AG and Tricky watch as the military police carry Major Migraine (complete with a power neutralizer collar) away.
“Ya know AG, we really need a better crop of villains for our team ups.”
“Hey, with guys like Dark Thugos and the Hooded Hood out there, I’m glad for the break!”

The End
